2 truths and a lie

Hi there Reader,

It’s almost April Fool’s Day….so let's have a little fun with today’s email, shall we?

Introducing…some ridiculously fun facts (one of which is a big fat lie) about Geelong, the Bellarine and Surf Coast!

Fun fact #1 – Geelong once hosted a snail racing championship with over 300 competitors.

Fun fact #2 – You can find dinosaur fossils dating back 126 million years along one of Geelong's coastlines.

Fun fact #3 – The Geelong Waterfront once had a shark-proof swimming enclosure.

Okay…off to make sure the kids are fed and happy.

Joyce xx

P.S. Can you spot the lie? Hit reply and let me know! Maybe you also know some fun facts about Geelong. If so, share them with me. I’m always keen to learn something new.

I’m just going to come right out and say it Reader: It’s not the end of the world if you don’t have your school holidays planned. Sure, you might miss out on some incredible once-in-a-lifetime experience, but if you don’t have time before the last day of school…you simply don’t have time. You and I live in the real world and even our best intentions cannot change that fact. Of course, I want you to plan as much as you can…but there’s also something magical about “impromptu” activities. Here...

Hey Reader, Sometimes it’s best to show, rather than tell. That’s why I’m just popping in really quick to share my favourite way to use AI when it comes to organising my family life. I ask ChatGPT (or your AI tool of choice) to create a meal plan with specific dietary preferences, within a specific budget, and get it to generate a shopping list. Prompt 1: Provide me a list of [vegetarian] meal ideas for [breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snack] that are [300-600 calories each] and [include 30g of...

I’m not sure if I ever told you this Reader… But I love reading books. I’ve always got a couple on the go and on average finish a book a week. Reading really just makes life that much better. Here’s a photo of my library book stack. Yes it’s bigger than my head! Which brings me to the point of this email. Do more of what you love. And please, don’t let naysayers stop you. In fact, when I started Geelong with Kids, a lot of people told me I shouldn’t - I already had two businesses, two kids...
